Allweather Wood is looking for a Warehouse Laborer to join the team at our Woodland, CA treating facility. This is a non-exempt position at an hourly rate of $24.87. Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.  

Responsibilities

Warehouse Laborer will learn to ensure constant Inventory Flow, Cross Train to perform Relief Jobs, Operate and Certify to run a  Bobcat and Forklift in a safe productive manner,  and other skills to support  operations in a safe and productive manner. Ensure constant inventory flow in shipping and receiving by performing relief jobs in manufacturing or distribution facility in a safe and productive manner.

  • Assists in preparing lumber orders for customers requiring constant standing and heavy lifting in a manufacturing or distribution facility in a safe and productive manner.
  • Perform a wide variety of jobs and duties as assigned, with a high level of proficiency and accuracy
  • Regularly operate a forklift
  • Keep equipment and work area clean
  • Perform scheduled inspections on equipment and prepare reports as required for management and maintenance personnel
  • Additional duties and responsibilities maybe assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or one year equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess a current forklift operator’s license, or be able to provide proof that he or she had possessed a forklift operator’s license previously
  • Must maintain and carry a valid California driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles, including automobiles and trucks, in accordance with company policy guidelines
  • A person in this position must have basic keyboarding skills.

  • This position requires eye protection, hearing protection, leather or rubber gloves, safety goggles/glasses, safety shoes, hard hat, and rubber apron
