Overview

Allweather Wood Company, LLC. (AWW) is seeking a Production Planning Inventory Administrator to join their team. This is an exempt position offering a base salary of $55,000 to $70,000. Your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic locations, skills, education and/or experience.  Please keep in mind that that the range published is the full base salary. We also offer a generous benefits package.

 

Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.

Responsibilities

Manage the scheduling of all aspects at the MFP Hawaii-Distribution supply chain to support customer satisfaction and positive business performance. Perform customer service activities to include product sales, price quotations, and customer issue resolution.

  • Responsible for providing direction and oversight of all products in and out of the distribution facility
  • Provide maintenance and reconciliation of the inventory
  • Evaluate distribution center’s inventories daily, ensuring sufficient inventories to support the sales forecast
  • Act as a customer service representative to support Home Depot on product quality and product knowledge; Quickly take corrective action to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop purchase requisitions
  • Respond to customer sales requests by providing detailed product information, price quotations and purchase order administration
  • Responsible for indirect supervision of the staff and direct oversight of the external haulers and contract workers
  • Manage inventory reporting and the daily delivery schedule Manage the boat booking schedule process
  • Prepare Bills of Lading for shipments including vendor coordination on Furtherance shipments
  • Inspect all outgoing loads to ensure accuracy
  • Secure the availability of a dock platform for shipment Process invoices for payment
  • Process sub-contractor invoices and forward to General Manager for approval
  • Create new and maintain existing tools to assist AP processing
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute reports to management as required
  • Maintain a specific material list and provide oversight of inventory related PO transactions
  • Identify trends and recommend measures to improve supply chain procedures and quality of products
    • Often responsible for opening and/or closing the facility

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10% of travel, typically within state by car or plane

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Inventory software as well as Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
