Allweather Wood, LLC. (AWW) is looking for Packaging Laborers on Swing Shift  to join our full-line manufacturing and distribution facility in Medford / White City, OR. 

 

The Allweather Wood (AWW) pressure treated plant is a full-line manufacturing and distribution facility in White City, OR. Allweather Wood is an Essential Business and we  are expanding our operations. The facility specializes in Hem-fir products for the Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Utah, Montana, and Idaho markets. The Allweather Wood facility inventories over 8 million feet of Lumber, Plywood, and Miscellaneous treated items.

  • Lumber piece pulls
  • Banding
  • Lumber track use
  • Forklift
  • Cleanup
  • Barcoding
  • Relief machine operator
  • Lumber Wrapline
  • Lumber treater helper
  • Inventory/cycle counts
  • Work in various departments as needed.
  • Willingness to work weekends and off shift dependent on market conditions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 
  • Minimum six month related experience preferred
  • Ability to train to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand instructions and memos. Ability to write simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to communicate and occasionally required to climb or balance
  • Subject to varying weather conditions including rain, snow, ice, wind, heat and cold
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, color, peripheral and depth perception. 
  • This position is repetitive and fast paced in nature.  The employee must pay attention to detail.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position requires wearing eye protection, leather/rubber gloves, safety shoes, and safety vest.
