Shipping Clerk Wanted!! The Allweather Wood (AWW)  company has an immediate opening for a qualified Shipping Clerk. The primary focus of the Shipping Clerk is to provide administrative and staff support to the Production, Shipping and Transportation Departments of the Facility


The Allweather Wood (AWW) pressure treated plant is a full-line manufacturing and distribution facility in White City, OR. Allweather Wood is an Essential Business and we  are expanding our operations. The facility specializes in Hem-fir products for the Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Utah, Montana, and Idaho markets. The Allweather Wood facility inventories over 8 million feet of Lumber, Plywood, and Miscellaneous treated items.

The key areas of focus for this position are as follows;   


  • Prepares orders (pick lists) for loading, from computer system.
  • Assigns and directs loads to Forklift Loader Operators, for loading.
  • Prepares Bills of Lading for each shipment.
  • Inspects all outgoing loads to insure all items on load match Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Receives all outside haulers documents, verifies pick up numbers and locations – directs haulers to loading area(s).
  • Prepares purchase orders when receiving shipments from vendors.
  • Prepares outside shipping log data, prints load sheets in preparation of the order.
  • Audit’s shipping and receiving summaries from previous day and records onto the daily report.
  • Files previous day records including Bills of Lading, as directed.
  • Assists in answering and directing telephone calls, recording messages when needed.
  • Processes transfer requests between warehouses.
  • Compiles data for Management reports, generates, and distributes as directed.
  • Manages and coordinates specific customer lumber orders and shipments
  • Effectively and efficiently write routine reports and correspondence.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, etc.).
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • One-year experience working with building products, preferred

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is occasionally required to, sit; stand; walk; stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, color, and ability to adjust focus.
  • In the work environment there is regular exposure to outside adverse weather conditions.
  • The employee will regularly work in or around warehouse or production areas.
  • Noise levels can be moderate to loud when outside of the office areas.
  • Safety Glasses, reflective vests and safety shoes are required outside of the office areas.
