Overview

Mendocino Forest Products is looking for an experienced Site Administrator to join our flagship Hawaii Distribution Center located in KapoleiHawaii.

 

The Site Administrator will manage the scheduling of all aspects at the Mendocino Forest Products (MFP) Hawaii Distribution Center (HDC) supply chain to support customer satisfaction and positive business performance. The successful candidate will perform customer service activities to include direct product sales, price quotations, and customer issue resolution.

  • Responsible for providing direction and oversight of all product in and out of the distribution facility.
  • Provide maintenance and reconciliation of the inventory.
  • Manage the physical inventory process to including planning, purchasing, and scheduling of the inventory.
  • Act as a customer service representative to support Home Depot accounts on product quality and product knowledge.
  • Quickly take corrective action steps in insure customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer orders with lumber price quotations factoring in profit margin objectives and unique costs to include ocean freight and handling.
  • Develop purchase requisitions.
  • Respond to customer sales requests by providing detailed product information, price quotations and purchase order administration.
  • Responsible for in direct supervision of the staff and direct oversight of the external haulers and contract workers.
  • Manage inventory reporting and the daily deliver schedule.
  • Manage the boat booking schedule process.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading for shipments including vendor coordination on Furtherance shipments.
  • Inspect all outgoing loads to ensure accuracy.
  • Secure the availability of a dock platform for shipment.
  • Process invoices for payment.
  • Process sub-contractor invoices and forwarding to General Manager for approval.
  • Maintain a specific material list and provide oversight of inventory related PO transactions.
  • Identify trends and recommend measures to improve supply chain procedures and quality of products.
  • Respond to telephone calls and on-site customers.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, accounting software, Access Database, and Outlook software, or ability to learn accordingly.
  • Position may travel outside the local area, but within the state usually by car or plane, up to 10% of the time

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • May work in or around warehouse or production areas.
  • May require leather/rubber gloves, safety shores, hard hat, and safety vest, at times.
