Mendocino Forest Products Company (MFP) is currently searching for a Shipping Supervisor to work with us at our Ukiah Sawmill. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Coordinates work between Sales and Production departments to ship products to meet business needs.

  • Facilitates production scheduling with Sales department to coordinate work orders, shipments, and special orders.
  • Directly supervises employees in the Shipping Department and lumber yards.
  • Coach employees for attainment of Company and individual goals and objectives in accordance with Company guidelines, and performance management system.
  • Develops and maintains spreadsheets to track inventory, shipments, and production.
  • Conducts routine inventory checks.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively present and interpret information to management and departmental crews.
  • Working knowledge of Internet and spreadsheet software.

 Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
