Humboldt Sawmill Company, LLC (HSC) is looking for talented and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Specialist to join our EHS team in Scotia, CA. Implement and review environmental, health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Company Policies. Maintain and encourage a safe behavioral culture. Work closely with EHS Manager and Director for EHS management and initiatives.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and communicate and frequently required to stand and walk and regular required to left and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to traverse difficult or inconsistent terrain including hillsides and uneven surfaces. This positon may be required to work in inclement weather conditions to conduct sampling during rain events including potentially working alone at remote locations.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will split his/her time between a typical manufacturing office environment and the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate while the noise level in the mill dictates the necessity for hearing protection when working on the manufacturing floor.
