    Mendocino Forest Products (MFP) is looking for a professional individual to join our Human Resources team in Calpella, CA.  This is considered and entry level position. As the Human Resource Coordinator you will be part of an excellent Human Rescources team, which strives to provide outstanding professional support for a wide range of Human Resources activities.

    • Assists and coordinates new hire paperwork, tracking and follow-up of documentation
    • Maintains I-9 documentation, calendars and prepares correspondence for reverification process
    • Generates status forms for compensation and position movement within the organization
    • Coordinates separation process by calendaring event, generating separation package, and ensuring timely distribution
    • Enters new hires and separations into 401(k) software; sends out monthly new hire auto enrollment notifications
    • Processes address changes in payroll and 401(k) software system, and notifies benefits and accounts payable
    • Maintains, updates and processes all phone and position title directories
    • Assists with HR/Benefit Administration and New Hire Orientation; generates new hire orientation packages and tracks package location counts
    • Processes COBRA notifications
    • Responsible for coding a variety of benefits and accounts payable bills in a timely manner
    • Calendars Employee Referral Program events and follow-up for completion
    • Administrative support and tracking of garnishments and national health insurance orders
    • Maintains human resources records/processes as required by law or Company practice
    • Responsible for HR/Benefit filing completion and organization
    • Maintains and/or creates tracking system for various projects
    • Greet visitors/applicants with a professional demeanor
    • Participates in special projects as directed
    • Maintains confidentiality


    • Associate degree (A.A) or minimum of two years related HR/Business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficient in the use of office equipment including computers, fax, printers, and copiers
    • Well versed in the use of software such as MS office with emphasis in Excel spread sheeting.
    • Excellent customer service skills, communication and phone etiquette required.
    • Accounts Payable experience an added plus.
    • Fluency in Spanish is preferred

    • Regularly required to left and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
    • This position will traverse stairway on a regular basis during the workday
    • This position is required to sit, type and review monitor for long periods of time; repetitive typing motion is required
    • Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
