    Mendocino Forest Products is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our Byproducts team at our Corporate office in Calpella, CA. The successfull candidate will be responsible for byproducts data reconciliation, reporting, and support.

    Responsibilities

    • Populates and generates reports including shipments, customer aging, and load corrections
    • Creates and maintains byproduct databases including customers, descriptions, freight haulers, weights, measures and other reporting criteria
    • Captures byproduct program activities, processes inventories, and maintains records and reporting
    • Captures byproducts delivery data and prepares daily activity reports
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive records of all byproducts transactions to support customer billing
    • Provides administrative and customer support to byproduct account managers
    • Enters and maintains customer purchasing reference material such as Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading
    • Enters shipment transactions into the byproduct database and approves related invoices for payment
    • Creates and distributes customer Manual Invoices via Lumber Track
    • Reconciles vendor freight invoices for shipments
    • Prepares byproduct accruals for monthly accounting records
    • Prepares periodic summary and detailed reports of byproducts activity
    • Reconciles general ledger balances related to byproduct activity
    • Maintains competency in business system operations in order to assist in user training, system testing and business process documentation
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • Minimum of 1-year experience in operations or accounting with a company that manages and sells inventory, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Associates Degree a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Familiarity with inventory-based business application systems is a plus
    • Must maintain a valid California Driver’s License and participate in the company driving policy requirements

    • The worked performed for this position is primarily in an office type setting where the noise level is generally low
    • Throughout the year the employee may be required to perform duties in an outdoor environment, to include the warehouse and lumber yards, in all types of environmental conditions.
