    The Allweather Wood (AWW) pressure treated plant is a full-line manufacturing and distribution facility in Washougal, WA. The facility specializes in Hem-fir products for the Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Utah, Montana, and Idaho markets. The Allweather Wood facility inventories over 8 million board feet of Lumber, Plywood, and Miscellaneous treated items. 

    AWW is looking for an experienced Materials Coordinator to work with us at our Fernadale, WA facility. This is a single person operation without staff. To perform this job successfully, the individual must have Forklift expereince to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.     Responsible for all daily operations at the Allweather Wood (AWW) Ferndale, WA distribution yard to support customer satisfaction and positive business performance.  Perform customer service activities to include forklift operation, product handling, and customer satisfaction resolution.


    • Safely operatate a Forklift to perform daily routine tasks of stock rotation, inventory control, quality control, and reconditioning of material.
    • Daily maintenance and reconciliation of the inventory integrity including completion of work order transactions and production of tags and signage.
    • Inspect outgoing loads to ensure all items match BOL, all products meet quality standards and the load is properly secured.
    • Build job specific material lists and provide oversight of inventory.
    • Prepare Bills of Lading for shipments.
    • Utilizes the company’s inventory management system.
    • Oversight of the physical inventory process and management of the process according to company procedures
    • Actively monitor product inventory/quality.
    • Create and balance daily reports for inventory accuracy.
    • Prepare and update spreadsheets detailing status of the inventory.
    • Control scheduling to maximize operational efficiency and positive financial results.
    • Provide daily customer service support including response to product questions and issue resolution.
    • Track usage for location to ensure future availability.
    • Ensure accuracy of sub-contractor invoices and forwarding to Plant Manager for approval.
    • Identify trends and recommend measures to improve supply chain procedures and quality of products.
    • Answer telephone calls and service customers who come onsite.
    • Ensure adequate supply of consumables (propane, diesel, gasoline, office supplies etc.) are on hand for operation.
    • Position may travel outside the local area, but within the state usually by car, up to 10% of the time.


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • Minimum of three years related Forklift experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of one year wood handling expereince or equivilent.
    • Knowledge and hands on expereince of Inventory software and MS Office Suite required.
    • Proven ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse/distribution type environment.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
    • Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly.
    • Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
    • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demand; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
    • Ability to work in inclimate weather year round
