    Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC (HRC) was formed in July 2008 through the reorganization of the former Pacific Lumber Company and related entities. Humboldt Redwood consists of forestry as well as lumber manufacturing and distribution operations.  Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC. has an immediate opening for a Skilled Laborer at our flagship Distribution Center located in Woodland, CA. This is a fulltime postion. The key areas of focus for this position are as follows;

    Responsibilities

    Assists in preparing lumber orders for customers requiring constant standing and heavy lifting in a manufacturing or distribution facility in a safe and productive manner. Additional duties and responsibilities are outlined below.

    • Performs a wide variety of jobs and duties as assigned, with a high level of proficiency and accuracy
    • Performs quality/accuracy checks on outbound trucks and pulled orders
    • Assists in preparing orders for shipment
    • Sorts lumber by grade specification
    • Assists in remanufacture process to meet customer requirements
    • Performs inventory cycle counts
    • Upon training, may operate a forklift
    • Keeps equipment and work area clean
    • Performs as a relief operator on other jobs as needed
    • Performs scheduled inspections on equipment and prepares reports as required for management and maintenance personnel

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED and minimum three years related experience and/or training; or one-year equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Required to obtain a Forklift License from the facility of employment within the first 60 days of employment.
    • Must adhere to all safety procedures and standard operating procedures of a Forklift Operator in accordance with all company policies
    • Must maintain and carry a valid California driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles in accordance with company policy guidelines.
    • While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate
    • May frequently be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
    • The personal protective equipment requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This job requires eye and hearing protection, leather/rubber gloves, safety vest, safety shoes, fall protection and hard hat
    • Basic keyboarding skills required
